Enlistment Criteria
Are You a Good Fit For The Super Sixth?

Thank you for your interest in joining the 6th Armored Division, 15th Tank Battalion, the Super Sixth!

We don't have many requirements, only attributes and limitations that we operate within.  Think of these conditionals as our profile.  If, after reading all this, we still appeal to you and you want to be a part of A Company, 15th Tank Battalion, then we welcome you to contact us. We are the Super Sixth, "The Wolfpack"!

U.S. Vehicle Exclusivity
We may, on occasion, use vehicles from other countries to determine their vulnerabilities or for a brief change of pace, nevertheless, we almost exclusively use vehicles of the United States.  We know that in many cases the U.S. tanks are underperformers but that doesn't matter to us.  We thrive on the challenge of besting our opponents with superior tactics, team play and U.S. steel!

Realistic Battles
We find that participating in Realistic Battles gives the best balance of features, playability and fun.  We concluded that Arcade is full of undisciplined players and rife with cheating.  Simulator Battles, on the other hand, produce a form of 'motion sickness' due to faulty tank commander views so we steer clear of it...although we have been dipping our toes in when the match-up interests us.  If you like the Realistic Battle mode, the Super Sixth is for you!

Mature Attitude
We're not the armed forces, but we prefer to retain players who have a level of maturity approaching that of a member of the military.  While several of our members are former military and over age 45, the age of a member isn't critical, but the character and attitude of the individual is vitally important.

No Lone Wolfs
George S. Patton said it best in the 1970 movie 'Patton':
"An army is a team. It lives, eats, sleeps, fights as a team. This individuality stuff is a bunch of crap."  We wholeheartedly subscribe to the general's sentiment!

No Cheating
We do not cheat.  We enjoy the immersion we experience when we have the details at full or higher.  The art in the game is amazing and we're not going to cheat and deny ourselves this awesome experience.

Nevertheless, we recognize that not every player's computer system will allow them to run the game at the highest graphic settings.   Ultimately, you need to run the game on the settings that make it work on your system's hardware.  This is totally understandable and necessary.

What we are speaking of here is cheating——the practice of setting game graphics on ultra low quality, far below what the computer can display, in order to remove most of the brush and foliage in the game and gain an advantage. Only weak losers need to do this.  Men of honor and integrity cannot and will not debase themselves and soil their character by engaging in such conduct.

Please remember, by building a squad we are establishing a brand and an identity in the game.  Cheating would tarnish our reputation and can not be tolerated.  Members who cheat by turning their graphics settings down to below what their video card can reasonably handle will be summarily ejected from the squad.

No Profanity over Voice Communications
Some of our members have families and may have their gaming computer located in an area of their home where young ears can hear expletives.  Therefore, we ask that members refrain from using profanity when using voice communications.  This prohibition does not pertain to text messages.

Active Players
Since we limit our squad to only 16 members, we need everyone who fills a slot in our Table of Organization (TO&E) to play often.  It isn't fair to those players who have expressed an interest in joining to be rebuffed because an inactive member continues to occupy a scarce slot.  As a guideline, you should be playing at least a few hours a couple days a week.  Most of us play almost every day.

While Gaijin limits in-game squad formation to just four players, special events and squad vs. squad operations will involve the entire Company in combat operations.  Until those events occur, we will operate within the 4-man in-game squad limit on the Realistic Battle server.  Despite this, we need players to be active so we can reasonably project our company-level combat strength when such battles are planned.

Patience
Working as a squad requires patience.  When you die as a member of a squad, you either deploy another vehicle into the match (if you have enough Spawn Points), or you are out and can only act as observer and spotter until either the match ends or all members of your squad die.  The wait could be up to 20 minutes long so working carefully, as a team, is the best way to insure that you're not sitting on the sidelines watching the rest of your teammates play.  Needless to say, you need to have patience to participate in squad operations.

Platoon Squad Night
Platoon commanders will be scheduling weekly 'squad nights' when all members of that particular platoon are encouraged to report for duty to conduct combat operations.  This is part of the "active member" requirement. After all, you joined the unit so you could be a part of a team in battle.  If you don't want to show up when your team is playing, why did you join?  When platoons go to battle, we need a full complement of four tankers to be effective!

Squadron Emblem Display
Our composite emblem consists of two decals and is to be placed on the rear of your tank turrets.  Our visual identity is critical to our continued viability so we require all members to proudly display our red-diamond-six emblem. You can remove it when you're not playing with other squad members, but for squadron operations, they must be displayed.  This is extremely important.  If you can't "wear our uniform," you can't be a member of the Super Sixth.

The red diamond will only be available to you when you have had 100 air combat victories.  Until that time, you need only display the number 6 on your turret, preferable the rear.

Personnel Information
We only ask for a minimum of identifying data from our members.  This is to allow each member of the Company to get acquainted with other members.  The most personal information we ask for is your country of residence and U.S.-equivalent time zone.  Other information that we request is voluntary.  If you feel this is an egregious invasion of your privacy, you probably shouldn't become a member of the Super Sixth.  That said, if you have any legitimate questions or concerns about your sharing this information, please let us know.

We only use the information you provide to populate our Table of Organization (TO&E) on our website, leaving out the e-mail address, of course.  Platoon member e-mail addresses are shared with Platoon Leaders though, so they can contact you and coordinate platoon operations.

U.S. Tier 3 Minimum
We prefer that all of our members research and purchase all U.S. armor through Tier 3 (US.T3).  You don't necessarily need to have acquired all of the modifications available for those vehicles, although doing so is strongly encouraged.  Many of us have progressed past Tier 3 to Tier 4 and 5, but as a functional requirement, we ask members to strive to acquire all U.S. tanks & vehicles in Tier 3.

If a member has not yet reached that level, they will be marked as being an "Applicant in Training" (AIT).  Despite this status, they will be assigned to a slot on our Table of Organization (TO&E) if there is an opening in their time zone.  However, they should understand that they may be transferred to our "AIT" Platoon if an applicant is accepted that fulfills the US.T3 requirement.

The AIT Platoon will operate as a unit and will ideally train together as they grind up to higher tiered vehicles.  By training together, they should experience a higher success rate and accelerated accumulation of Research Points and Silver Lions.  Once a player achieves US.T3, they will be assigned to an appropriate slot on our TOE when one is available.
